Strategic Partnerships with Prospect Research
Jason Chestnutt and Chris Hubert
Planned giving prospects are a vital yet often hidden part of an institution's donor base. Even if these prospects are noted by a research team, ensuring that they are properly cultivated can be a challenge. Collaboration between prospect development and gift planning can create new analytic tools for prospect identification, and new opportunities for collaboration between gift planning and major gift officers. In this presentation, the speakers will discuss tools and custom reports they developed to identify prospects who may be particularly interested in more complex vehicles, including charitable trusts. They will also suggest ways to encourage colleagues across development departments to provide prospects with better opportunities to fund their legacy gifts.
